  • Overview

    In this position the focus is woodworking skills and an eye for detail. This person will lend their skills to producing cabinets and millwork that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Using the specs provided they will use their building and mathematical skills to create cabinets that meet very specific guidelines. They will focus on doing this in a timely and safe manner.


    1. *Reads and understands architectural and cabinet layout drawings and creates cabinetry that accurately reflects design specifications.
    2. *Reads and understands a cut bill of materials and creates materials according to specifications.
    3. *Provides the setup and operation of power and hand tools utilized by the cabinet shop such as table saws, shapers, nail and staple guns, routers, belt sanders and spray paint guns.
    4. *Operates specialized computer operated large power equipment such as CNC routers, Beamsaw, Edgebander, dowel machine, if required by job assignment.
    5. *Prepares and packages finished product for shipping.
    6. *Identifies issues or conflicts in specifications and drawings and brings them to the attention of management for resolution.
    7. *Performs clean up and organization of storage, tool crib and shop floor areas. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
    8. *Operates and follows all safety rules and provides coaching and reminders to peers in following safety and procedures of the department.



    High School Diploma or GED





    ·         Understanding of necessary mathematics

    ·         Knowledge of materials and processing

    ·         Attention to detail

    ·        Good driving record a plus


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

    • Lifting safely
    • Standing while working
    • Bending, stooping, reaching, stretching
    • Pushing, pulling
    • Carrying



    Work is performed in a wood shop environment. Hazards include, but not limited to cuts, severed or crushed fingers, sawdust, chemical exposure, loud ongoing sounds. Occasional travel to outside locations to get materials or deliver product. Ability to work extended hours, as required, in support of the company’s business needs.
