    The Kitchen Leader is a key role in operations at Market 5-ONE-5. The ideal candidate needs to have a level of expertise and knowledge around food preparation, healthy eating, merchandising, operations and leading a team. The position will be responsible for leading a team, managing the department, as well as sharing your knowledge with team members and customers.     Responsibilities

     

    • Manage ordering processes and inventory.
    • Educating customers and team members on items sold in the department.                                                            
    • Ownership over food safety and sanitation in the Kitchen
    • Cultivate a positive fun environment for team members
    • Openly communicate with Meat Leader and Head Cook about diverting shrink and facilitating a program for reuse in the Kitchen
    • Assist in training and development of Kitchen department
    • Manage business performance and hold yourself accountable to results
    • Hold yourself accountable to department and store standards
    • Maintaining work schedule.
    • Training and development of team and growing future leaders
    • Recipe development and managing fresh item management in ECRS
    • Develop knowledge of total store operations

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Leadership experience
    • Food Safety Certification
    • Retail Experience
    • Bakery/Kitchen knowledge

    • Excellent leadership and excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills employing a variety of styles including written, one on one, as well as speaking in front of a group
    • Strong business and financial acumen

    Physical Demands

    All team members may encounter the follow demands during their normal work day:

    Work Environment

    Work is performed primarily in a retail setting. Work hours are generally 40 hours or more per week. This environment involves working with a diverse range of customers, vendors, and team members.
