We have an exciting opportunity to join the Raley's family at our location in Incline Village! A successful Assistant Team Leader engages the store team to deliver The Raley’s Way and achieve business results. They are able to create a memorable store experience through eye-catching displays, fresh products and deliver service that is unmatched. The Assistant Team Leader sets high standards for performance yet has fun, celebrates successes, develops and empowers a diverse team. Communicates the store/department vision and engages the team members through collaboration and innovative ideas. The ATL uses their industry knowledge and expertise to achieve visual merchandising standards, center store performance and delivers safety/food safety results.


  1. Supervise and provide leadership and training to employees.
  • Continually monitor all employee performance and coach where appropriate, in concert with the Store Management when necessary.
  • Monitor all new hire sign-off sheets for sanitation, chemicals and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and store policies and procedures (and thus compliance with all state and federal laws applicable to this industry).
  • Conduct all new hire orientation training for employees entering the bakery departments to ensure a professional well trained workforce.
  • Identify and monitor all on-going training needs and coordinate scheduling of these classes.
  • Identify and coach all management and prospective management candidates to provide a pool of qualified management for future growth needs.
  • Conduct regular meetings with staff to review ads, sales plans, promotions, labor, department safety, etc.
  • Management department scheduling to achieve maximum productivity.
  1. Customer relations
  • Provide 100% WCS to our customers through example, supervision and training.
  • Ensure that our customer service principles are being maintained at all times.
  • Empower team to resolve customer issues on their own. Handle customer concerns and requests in an expedient manner. 
  • Review all shopping reports with team and coach appropriately.Safety and Sanitation
  • Maintain all equipment in maximum operational condition.
  • Ensure all safety programs and procedures are followed by personnel according to company guidelines of 95% compliance or better. Make your department the safest place to work and shop.
  • Monitor sanitation practices during the day, correct and coach where appropriate.
  • Review and correct all issues associated with inspections.
  • Monitor all components of the HAACP program.
  • Monitor all sweep sheets, temperature logs, etc.
  • Assist Store Director and Asst. Managers with self-inspections.
  • Monitor all sign-off sheets for sanitation, chemical and equipment safety.

       Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.



  • Must be 18 or older 
  • Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to drive sales, reduce losses, and properly staff the department
  • Exceptional leadership skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully delegate and develop team members. 
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and react to a variety of situations at one time.
  • Promoting great customer service, while offering our customers the the best products available. 
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and related software including spreadsheet applications.
