  • Overview

    The Meat Cutter provides outstanding world class customer service.  Additionally, the team member cuts, stocks and merchandises a large variety of meat products that meet the needs of our customers and maintain our high standards of safety and sanitation.

    Responsibilities

     Meat cutters are tasked with assignments such as:

    • Meat Department sales
    • Opening/Closing the Meat Department
    • Grinding meats and sausages
    • Writing meat and seafood orders
    • Cutting various types of meats
    • Wrapping roasts
    • Restocking displays cases
    • Assistaing customers at the counter
    • Tenderizing meat

    Qualifications

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalency required. 
    • Must have completed a Meat Cutter Apprentice program and have work experience as a Journeyman Meat Cutter.
    • Must be 18 years of age.   
    • Must be willing to work the hours of the position (overnights) and have flexible availability.

    This position requires the following physical abilities:

    • Standing for long periods
    • Bending
    • Lifting up to 50 pounds 
    • Work in a cold environment.
