Under the direction of the Food Service Team Leader, the Assistant Food Service Team Lead is responsible for typically either the Fresh Deli or the Bakery area, working with Team Members to maintain in-stock conditions, achieve sales goals, and maintain a high degree of operational effectiveness.
The Assistant Team Leader follows the established standards for the look of assigned area and perimeter Food Service displays, merchandises assigned area to maximize profitable sales, creates a great shopping experience, leverages points of difference, and implements corporate or district-directed focus.
He/She provides work direction to all department team members and develops team members to their utmost capabilities, connecting with customers and the community as well as taking responsibility for the profitability of the store.
Shifts may start as early as 5:00 a.m. and end as late as 11:00 p.m.
Qualifications: There are no specific education requirements, Must be 18 years of age or older. Prior experience working in deli, food service a plus.
The successful Assistant Food Service Team Leader will be able to constantly be on the move while waiting on customers, performing food preparation, stocking and cleaning-up.
This position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push carts.
