Compensation

The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.

 

Expected Minimum Pay Rate

USD $68,640.00/Yr.

Expected Maximum Pay Rate

USD $83,280.00/Yr.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

As a Pricing Analyst you will execute and maintain the pricing strategies for categories established by Category Managers and manage multiple pricing zones based on competitive pricing analysis. You will be responsible for creating insightful data that enables achieving financial goals through the incorporation of historical and competitor data that impact category sales, margin, and rate performance. One of our customer promises is fair and consistent pricing to give our customers overall value during their shopping experience with us. In this role, you are required to have knowledge of retail operations and pricing strategies, and the ability to implement pricing objectives and optimization within the merchandising system.

 

How You will Make a Difference

  • You will conduct research, produce analyses, and recommend actions to optimize sales and margin performance.
  • You will conduct competitive pricing analysis and analyze product pricing compared to the competitors in the marketplace.
  • You will implement and maintain pricing infrastructures while ensuring pricing complies with guidelines and meets financial targets.
  • You will maintain a competitive pricing database designed to support pricing information decisions.
  • You will conduct price sensitivity and elasticity analysis and sets pricing that maximizes revenue and profit.
  • You will implement and monitor pricing for KVI’s (key value items).
  • You will utilize price optimization tools and systems to deliver Raley’s pricing strategy.
  • You will continuously review and pro-actively identify areas of opportunities for profit and or/margin enhancement.
  • You will conduct competitive walks by visiting other retailers to observe pricing.
  • You will be responsible for the integrity of the prices and items in the merchandising system by entering in new items and auditing for accuracy.
  • You will collaborate with Category Managers and team to ensure pricing goals are accurately captured and translated by the pricing system.
  • You will create queries and generating reports for use by the merchandising department.
  • You will evaluate the effectiveness of promotional pricing (buy more save more deals).
  • You will participate in setting category objectives and development of plans to attain those objectives.
  • You will need to be available for on-call weekend support to resolve pricing issues in our stores as they arise.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field and a minimum of two or more (2+) years of analysis experience
    • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of retail pricing.
  • Knowledge of the pricing system, procedures and business objectives and the impacts on total store value offer.

 

Physical Demands - Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:  

  • Sitting; work is sedentary; sitting most of the time.
  • Viewing computer monitor and keyboarding.
  • Operational tasks in stores
  • Occasional travel to competitive stores to review their price activity, walking throughout the store.
