Position Purpose

Under general supervision to administer the maintenance warehouse inventory software, provide financial inventory reporting to department management and accounting department(s), oversee maintenance inventory operations and ensure parts, materials and equipment acquisition and deployment. This job classification requires knowledge of inventory control software packages and store and facilities operations, customer service skills and the ability to lead others and provide operational direction to department staff.

Compensation

The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.

Expected Minimum Pay Rate

USD $23.17/Hr.

Expected Maximum Pay Rate

USD $29.26/Hr.

Responsibilities

  • Provides functional oversight of the inventory function. Fulfills part, materials and equipment orders in a timely and accurate manner to stores, field technicians, contractors and project managers.
  • Ensures department Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
  • Receives orders for parts and equipment from mechanics and determines all appropriate parts, materials and supplies needed.
  • Checks inventory for materials, orders out of stock materials and sets up deliveries.
  • Picks up and delivers emergency parts as needed by mechanics.
  • Helps fixture warehouse team members, when needed, by loading, unloading and pulling orders.
  • Ensures that parts, supplies and facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly manner including weekly cleaning and sweeping of warehouse facility.
  • Provides for the ordering and vendor supply processes.
  • Reviews part/material orders and places orders for standard purchases up to a defined dollar amount. Obtains supervisor authorization for purchases more than authority.
  • Responds to inquiries on invoices, checks invoices and verifies against received goods.
  • Ensures received shipments are complete and places all parts in proper bins and areas of the warehouse.
  • Maintains current service and parts vendor information files.
  • Provides task leadership to team and serves as a point of escalation and/or training resource to the fixture and inventory warehouse teams.
  • Answers standard operational questions from staff. Refers complex questions to department supervisor.
  • Provides performance feedback to department supervisor to assist in reviewing performance of staff.
  • Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements pertaining to inventory. Strictly monitors all regulated substances ordered, stored in and deployed from the maintenance warehouse in accordance with regulatory requirements (i.e. Environmental Protection Agency regulated substances such as refrigerant).
  • Maintains current inventory and service records, information files, and provides research and reporting support as needed.
  • Administers and maintains department inventory utilizing an inventory software program(s) covering parts and fixtures. Catalogs parts and reports on inventory data. Serves as department liaison for inventory software issues and upgrades.
  • Compiles, processes and reports financial inventory data to accounting department(s) including dollar valuations and parts counts. Work is subject to review by supervisor.
  • Conducts needs analyses for inventory/purchasing modules of software. Tests software upgrades and works with vendor to resolve software issues.
  • Trains staff on software upgrades and functionality.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

High School Diploma or G.E.D. and service technician diploma or training and five (5) years of experience as a technician or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Required Knowledge

  • Intermediate knowledge of inventory control software packages.
  • Knowledge of store and facilities operations.
