What You Will Do

 

As our Director of Asset Protection, you will provide direction and oversight to the Asset Protection department and functions for 130 locations in California and Nevada, including strategic initiatives, business planning, policy development, loss prevention programs and systems, inventory shrink reduction programs, physical security systems, security personnel, executive protection and asset protection to all employees, stores and facilities. The Director of Asset Protection is accountable for improved shrink performance through the effective performance of shrink reduction and best practice programs aimed at Store Operations and Supply Chain channels. In this role, you will also provide oversight of business continuity planning and implementation.

Compensation

The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position and will vary depending on the location. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual(s) will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.

Expected Minimum Pay Rate

USD $125,900.00/Yr.

Expected Maximum Pay Rate

USD $187,280.00/Yr.

Responsibilities

  • You will lead and oversee strategic initiatives, policies, and programs that minimize company losses, including theft prevention, inventory shrink reduction, and physical security measures.
  • Your team will direct investigations into internal and external theft, vendor fraud, workplace violence, and other security incidents, ensuring resolution and prosecution where applicable.
  • You will develop and maintain business continuity plans, ensuring the organization is prepared for emergencies and disaster recovery.
  • You will manage the Organized Retail Crime program to combat professional shoplifting and enhance security partnerships with law enforcement.
  • You will build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to identify and address internal control weaknesses.
  • You will represent the company with external partners, vendors, and professional organizations while keeping up with loss prevention trends.
  • You will protect company assets through innovative strategies, advanced technology, and data-driven solutions.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience. 
  • 7–10 years of senior leadership experience in retail loss prevention, ideally within grocery, distribution, or pharmacy operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of loss prevention theories, physical security systems, and applicable laws.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a track record of achieving measurable results.
