Position Purpose

The Offer Associate is responsible for end-to-end quality assurance and execution of all marketing offers.  This role addresses routine and moderately complex system issues from the input source through store execution.  The Offer Associate acts as a point of escalation and communication to vendor partners, Category Managers, and Raley’s Service Center to continuously improve offer quality and resolve offer data discrepancies on behalf of the Something Extra team.

Compensation

The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual will depend on their geographic location, relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.

 

Expected Minimum Pay Rate

USD $23.17/Hr.

Expected Maximum Pay Rate

USD $29.26/Hr.

Responsibilities

  • Tests and researches routine to moderately complex system or file issues.
  • Performs quality assurance on files incoming to the Offer Automation site.
  • Works with IT to validate that each campaign loads properly.
  • Verifies that offers and receipt messages function correctly in test register environment.
  • Verifies that images are present and current for all online offers.
  • Performs data audits for direct mail campaigns.
  • Provides feedback and input on ways to improve QA processes.
  • Acts as liaison to Category Managers and vendor partners on offer quality and timelines.
  • Drives relationship with Category Managers to evaluate offer data quality relative to active product lines, offer discount values, and image accuracy.
  • Maintains offer calendar in coordination with Category Management and vendor partners that includes timelines for offers to be entered and tested. Communicates impending deadlines to team.
  • Audits e-Contracts and acts as liaison to vendor partners to identify and correct database issues.
  • Works with You Tech partner to update offer quantity requirements.
  • Resolves questions or problems and refers more complex issues to supervisor to prevent errors from being loaded into the system.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining all non-automated Marketing offers for promotions including Birthday Club, SE Insider, Catalina, local campaigns, store contests, and team member rewards.
  • Extends You Count long running offers.
  • Updates Hallmark Product Groups.
  • Acquires and downloads UPC’s for printed barcodes.
  • Gathers information on problems identified at the direction of supervisor or Marketing Coordinator.
  • Assists Raley’s Service Center and TAC with customer inquiries related to Something Extra issues.
  • Validates and maintains database fields.
  • Reviews database lines to detect errors in fields.
  • Reports potential issues to supervisor.
  • Implements solutions approved by supervisor.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree. One to three (1-3) years of marketing, data entry and/or general office clerical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Intermediate level skills:  Has knowledge of office procedures.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Performs detailed data input to post marketing offers to Something Extra participants. 

High degree of accuracy required to ensure accuracy of database.

Ability to learn:

  • General office procedures and office machine operation
  • Computer programs such as MS Excel (basic functions)
  • Raley’s Something Extra program policies and procedures

 

Basic ability to:

  • Discern issues with data presented and bring issues to the attention of supervision.
  • Manage time and able to complete sufficient volume of work during the shift.
  • Work well in a team setting independently and as a group.
  • Provide effective coaching and training to others.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Extended time spent sitting and keyboarding.
  • Viewing computer monitor constantly.
  • Lifting boxes and/or equipment up to 10 lbs.
  • Frequent telephone usage.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

Work is performed in normal office environment.
