What You Will Do

As the Payroll Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the preparation and disbursement of the Company’s weekly payroll. This position verifies these processes are in accordance with Federal, State & Local and CBA Regulations. In addition, oversees the Garnishment process which is outsourced to a Third Party.

How You will contribute and add value to the team:

  • Process weekly payroll for over 11.000 team members
  • Supervise payroll function assuring the timely & accurate processing of payroll processing
  • Verifies and reviews payroll to ensure accuracy
  • Act as a resource to provide guidance within and outside of the department
  • Investigate and propose process and efficiency opportunities and implement approved changes in the department
  • As assigned, provide leadership that represents Raley’s Leadership Traits and our values to inspire and empower the team to accomplish work and meet business demands


Must Have:

  • Five (5) or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience or training required
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or ERP System
  • Experience with multi-state and union payroll
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including Vlookup and Pivot tables
  • Detail oriented and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to provide leadership, guidance and direction
  • Attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulatory requirements

Nice to Have:

  • ADP experience
  • RTime or other scheduling or timekeeping system experience
  • Knowledge of complex payroll practices, methods and procedures
