  • Overview

    Under general supervision, the Pricing Clerk has responsibility for monitoring the import of electronic data files, validating file content, and processing the data before it is applied to the merchandising system database.  The Pricing Clerk will manually set up and maintain all promotional information as well as proof all advertised vehicles to ensure accuracy.  This position requires accuracy of work with excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.

     

    Responsibilities

    1. *Responsible for monitoring and validating electronic files from vendors and Merchants
      1. Ensures accuracy of data before additions and/or changes are made to the merchandising system database.
      2. Audits and Proofs information and assist in the resolution of store inquiries with regard to data integrity in POS
      3. Validates and maintains all merchandising system database fields and hierarchies in order to preserve data quality and accuracy in all corporate reporting.
      4. Supports scale management activities by setting up and maintaining supplier/vendor information in the merchandising system database.
    2. *Responsible for manually entering item information into merchandising system database.
      1. Ensures accuracy of data and that business rules are upheld.
      2. Creates and inputs promotional discounts for advertised and unadvertised specials
      3. Identifies and recommends solutions for all promotional pricing issues to the Merchants.
      4. Proofs ads to ensure pricing accuracy.
      5. Creates and maintains entries in Logix/SAP system to ensure item limits and purchase requirements are met for all retail stores.
      6. Ensures pricing accuracy for all retail stores.
      7. Receives, researches and resolves store pricing problems and questions.
      8. Communicates with stores via phone/email to resolve all promotional pricing issues.
      9. Acts as a liaison between retail stores and marketing and merchandising departments.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or general education degree, plus four (4) years of related data coordination and/or data entry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    General understanding of store operating procedures with regard to pricing procedures, practices and maintenance.

    Strong computer skills required and a working proficiency with related pricing software packages and MS Office Suite
